The couple approached the designer after thinking about redoing their master bath for several years. The master bath had been part of an addition added to the 1920’s home in the 1980’s and looked the part. The clients had many differing ideas for their bath, from traditional to ultra-modern, but agreed on a few things, white carrara marble and replacing their whirlpool tub with a large shower. After going through multiple design revisions the couple settled on a plan taking elements of a vintage washroom and pairing it with modern cabinetry, to create a look that is elegant and timeless yet completely updated.
Taking a linen closest out at the entrance to the bathroom opened up the room and created more buildable space.
The clients wanted exposed pipes and metal legs, but needed storage, especially after removing the linen closet. Two stacks of drawers on either side of the sinks give ample personal storage and a tall linen closet between the vanities creates a place for sheets and towels.
Beautiful white carrara marble tops are accentuated by ten inch carrara marble backsplashes and apron sink fronts.
The dark gray cabinetry boldly contrasts the carrara marble tops and floor tiles.
Custom made metal legs, ordered from etsy, complete the modern washroom.
A luxurious shower with marble tile and multiple shower heads creates a beautiful focal point.
